Terms of Service.

These terms are an agreement between you and Nuru Holdings LLC ("Nuru", "we", "us"). They cover builtbynuru.com and the apps we make, on the web and in the Apple App Store and Google Play. That includes Slide Thru, El Sabor, Rootstock, Baraza and Rooted 360, and the other apps and tools listed on this site, such as Kuza and DiamondScore (together, "the apps"). By using the apps, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use them. Questions: info@builtbynuru.com.

The short version

• Use the apps for yourself. Don't copy, resell or share them.
• Each paid app has its own membership terms that explain its price, free trial, cancelling and refunds.
• Our apps give information, not professional advice. Rooted 360 is not your doctor, and Rootstock is not your financial advisor.
• Events, restaurants and businesses listed in our apps are run by other people. Confirm the details before you go.
• You can delete your account anytime.

Who can use the apps

• You must be at least 13. Our apps are not made for children under 13.
• If you're under 18, you need a parent's or guardian's permission to use the apps, and a parent or guardian must make any purchase.
• If you use an app for a school, team or business (for example Kuza or DiamondScore), you confirm you're allowed to agree to these terms for them.

Your Nuru account

• One Nuru account works on all our paid apps. You log in with your email and a 6-digit code we send you.
• Use an email you control and keep it current. Don't share your login codes. An account is for one person.
• You're responsible for what happens under your account. If you think someone else got in, email us right away.

Paying for an app

• Each paid app's membership terms set its price, free trial, renewal, cancelling and refunds: Slide Thru, El Sabor, Rootstock, Baraza and Rooted 360. Those terms are part of this agreement. For your payment, they control if they differ from this page.
• Buying on our websites: payments are handled by Stripe and sold through Link, Stripe's checkout service, which is the seller of record and handles sales tax. Your card statement shows LINK.COM* followed by our name.
• Buying in the App Store or Google Play: you're buying from Apple or Google, and they bill you under their own terms. Manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple ID or Google Play settings. Refunds for store purchases are requested from Apple or Google under their policies. We can't refund a store purchase ourselves.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Prices are in U.S. dollars and include sales tax where it applies. If a subscription price changes, we'll email you at least 30 days before your next charge at the new price.
• Each app is paid for on its own. Paying for one doesn't unlock another. Free trials are one per person per app.

What you may do

We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the apps for your own non-commercial use, or for your own team's or school's internal use of tools like Kuza and DiamondScore, as long as you follow these terms. This right ends if you break them.

What you may not do

• Copy, sell, rent, share or republish the apps or their content, including lessons, guides, articles, listings, designs and pictures.
• Share your account, or try to get around a paywall, a free-trial limit or a purchase check.
• Scrape, crawl or bulk-download our content, or use it to train AI models.
• Reverse-engineer or decompile the apps, except where the law lets you no matter what these terms say.
• Break into, probe or test our security, overload our servers, or interfere with other people using the apps.
• Send us anything false, misleading, illegal, hateful, harassing or sexually explicit, or anything you don't have the right to share.
• Pretend to be someone else, or use the apps to break the law.

Things you send us

This covers events you submit, nominations, corrections and feedback.

• You keep ownership of what you send. You give us a free, worldwide, non-exclusive right to use, edit, format, publish and display it in our apps and in promoting them.
• You confirm it's accurate, that you have the right to share it, and that publishing it won't break the law or anyone's rights, including other people's names and photos.
• We review submissions and may edit, decline or remove anything at any time.
• If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without paying you or owing you anything.

Our content

The apps, their content, designs, code, names and logos belong to Nuru Holdings LLC or to the people who license them to us, and are protected by copyright and trademark law. © Nuru Holdings LLC. All Rights Reserved. Some pictures in our apps are illustrations made with AI tools. They don't show real people or real events. Names of other businesses, events and organizations belong to their owners. Listing them doesn't mean they endorse us or we endorse them.

Information, not professional advice

The apps are for learning and general information. We work to keep them accurate and up to date, but we don't promise that everything is complete, current or right for your situation.

• Rooted 360 shares general health information and tools to help you prepare for doctor visits. It is not medical advice. It doesn't diagnose or treat anything, and it doesn't replace a doctor, nurse or pharmacist. Don't ignore or delay medical advice because of something in the app. In an emergency, call 911. In a mental health crisis, call or text 988.
• Rootstock is financial education. It is not financial, investment, tax, legal or credit advice, and we're not a bank, broker or advisor. Talk to a qualified professional before big money decisions.
• El Sabor teaches Spanish, including regional slang. Slang and culture notes are general. They vary by place and person, and some slang is informal, so use good judgment about when to use it.
• Baraza presents religious and philosophical traditions side by side for learning. It is not religious instruction and doesn't endorse any tradition. Every tradition is diverse, and a summary can't capture every view within it.
• Slide Thru and other listings: the events, restaurants and businesses listed in our apps are run by other people. We don't sell tickets, run events or run the businesses listed. Dates, prices, hours and other details change, so confirm with the organizer or business before you go. We aren't responsible for events or businesses run by others, or for what happens at them.
• Kuza and DiamondScore help coaches and athletic trainers stay organized. They don't replace professional judgment, emergency action plans or medical care for athletes.

Other companies' services and links

The apps rely on other companies, including Stripe, Link, Apple, Google and Cloudflare. Their own terms apply when you use their services. The apps also link to other websites. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for them.

• If you get one of our apps from the Apple App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the app. If it and these terms conflict about your license to use the app, Apple's agreement controls.
• If you get one of our apps from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service apply to your download and purchase.

Changes and availability

We keep improving the apps, so features may change, move or be removed. Some apps or features may be marked as in development or in beta, and they may not work perfectly. We may pause or stop offering an app. If we shut down a paid app, its membership terms explain your refund. We don't promise the apps will always be available or free of errors.

Ending your use

• You can stop using the apps anytime. To delete your account, go to Account → Delete my account in any paid app. Our Privacy Policy explains what that deletes.
• We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts other people or the apps at risk, or when the law requires it. If we close your account through no fault of yours, we'll refund the unused part of any paid membership.
• Sections that by their nature should continue after your use ends still apply. That includes things you send us, our content, disclaimers, limits on liability and disputes.

Disclaimers

The apps are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. Some places don't allow these exclusions, so some of them may not apply to you.

Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Nuru Holdings LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, that come from your use of the apps. Our total liability for any claim about the apps is limited to the greater of (a) what you paid us for the app the claim is about in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) $50. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.

If you break these terms

To the extent the law allows, you agree to cover reasonable costs and claims, including lawyers' fees, that come from your breaking these terms or from something you sent us.

Disputes

• Talk to us first. Email info@builtbynuru.com and tell us what's wrong. We'll try to sort it out with you within 30 days.
• These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any claim goes to the state or federal courts located in Georgia, except that you may bring an individual claim in small claims court where you live.
• If you live somewhere whose laws give you consumer rights that can't be waived, those rights still apply.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the date at the top. For changes that matter, we'll email account holders before the changes take effect. If you keep using the apps after that, you accept the new terms. If you don't agree, stop using the apps and delete your account.

General

• These terms, the membership terms of any app you pay for and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the apps.
• If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
• If we don't enforce part of these terms right away, we haven't given up the right to enforce it later.
• You can't transfer your account or your rights under these terms. We may transfer them if Nuru Holdings LLC is reorganized or sold, and these terms will still protect you.
